When analyzing the different components to be an effective communicator in business, the topic becomes complex. Think of the vastness of communication as it pertains to verbal and nonverbal skills, listening and presenting, analyzing and identifying your audience’s needs, written reports, forms, and emails coupled with telephone and interpersonal skills. Communication is intricate, and is much more sophisticated than simply sending and receiving a message. Over the past several weeks we have studied communication effectiveness in several settings by reviewing techniques, analogies and models.
